1. My Favorite food of late are the Onion Rings at Mady's Bowling Center. They're like 2 inches think and coated in an inch of beer batter. MMmmm....

2. There's an awful lot of bacon in the news these days.

I used this recipe and just wrapped bacon around the outside of the onions before I battered 'em. It all stuck together pretty well - and was quite delicious - though the bacon didn't really get crispy. I'll try to wrap the bacon around the wet batter next time.
