Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout

Delicious, smooth stout, especially for 10.6% ABV(!?)

This was to take care of my pale ale/hops fix, which I've been big on lately. Did the job for sure.

Maudite is French or Canadian or something for "the damned one". It's kind of a misnomer. Granted, it's high on the ABV, but this stuff still tastes delicious. Nice and floral and tight, it's what I used as a complement to my dessert. Definitely did the trick.

Once I got home, I surveyed my fridge and grabbed something on the lighter side. What I ended up with was a Goose Island Demolition Ale. It's got a golden color, but a bit of a flat/grassy finish taste wise. Not bad but not exceptional.

Now I'm wrapping the night up with a nice light Belgian blonde ale that's not too complex but seems to hit the sweet spots on the tongue. I bought a six pack of this a few weeks ago and am still surprised to find bottles in my fridge. Not a bad thing.
OK, time to wrap this up and hit the sack. Tomorrow night I have a bachelor party so I'm sure it will be full of overpriced domestics. Stayed tuned until the next time.
