One of the preeminent design writers, steven heller, got a chance to sit down with steve jobs and ask him some questions. his line of questioning elicited this response:
"Are you some kind of moron?! I’m giving you the lowdown on how Apple will be able to increase its market share against the dominant software firm, because there are half a billion downloads of Apple’s iTunes software, mostly by Windows users, and you persist in this idiotic line of questioning?"
i wonder if this is real.

No way thats real.

"I wrote it as a piece of satire after reading all the press (including a cover story in New York Magazine) about the new Apple products where Jobs - the genius behind and the spokesperson of the company - is front and center in his trademark gear."

Damn it. and i sent to boing boing. I guess i just wanted it to be true. Fucking successful people.

Well... you know how ludicrously alarmist BoingBoing can be... I'm sure they'll run with it and retract it two minutes later.

I think that was my subconscious figuring the best way to make this story true... is for boing boing to say it's true. That will teach him.

Hmm... i've never publicly talked about my hate of steve jobs. In fact, i haven't heard anyone really talk bad about him.

I wonder if that's cause he's already making quick work on a way to kill me.

When was there ever--anything--that you haven't talked publicly about?

...

get it?

cause you talk a lot.

So you'd assume i'd have no secrets... which would make me the ideal candidate to carry the awesomest secrets.
