barack obama is a saint.

Dan said,

will you contend america's ready to elect a saint?

Eric said,

politician=liar

besides steve jobs says it is so

Eric said,

Just as long as the Dems do not run Hillary I'll be happy.

Eric said,

Doug Stanhope for president.

MattT said,

I like McCain. He's old and grouchy.
The only problem is, he might die before 2012.

MattT said,

Well, maybe not the only problem.

Eric said,

Yeah, McCain is like 70 years old(?). I trust him more than the other Republican nominees. Guliani should run for president of 9/11.

Paul said,

mccain is in better health then most of our current administration.

i think for one of chaney's surgeries they implanted a mini mccain to keep him going. but cheney's evil spread to the mini mccain, and then to the real mccain - and that's why mccain's been all 'pandering to his base" and "there is no president but bush".

i'd love to see mccain make it - it'd be a tough decision if he did.

MattT said,

McCain just has to play party lines so he has a chance of getting the Republican nomination. I'd love to see him run as an independent though. I think he'd have a really good shot to be the first independent to win if he can get the financial backing.

MattT said,

He's half democrat anyway.

Eric said,

As much as I would like to see it, I don't think a moderate has much of a chance in this political atmosphere. It seems that any stance a moderate could take would be co-opted for the left or right extreme or criticized for not being a strong position.

When it comes to politics, the only thing in the middle of the road are two lines and dead armadillos...

MattT said,

You might be right. Unfortunately, I think a majority of US citizens are exactly that--moderate. Capitalism ruins democracy.

Paul said,

primaries ruin democracy.
